| Having been in the Flooring Industry for more than 30 years, becoming a Flooring Inspector was something I had looked forward to doing for the past 15 years. I have been a Claims Manager for 15 years, and I have seen reports from inspectors that left an element of uncertainty regarding the “verified/proven” cause of a flooring issue.
Uncertainty of proof is a big deal in a flooring inspection and report. Many times, someone is most likely going to have to pay thousands of dollars to fix a flooring issue. It is so important to be thorough and accurate in a flooring inspection, as well as being accurate and easily understood in the written inspection report. CFIU has given me extensive training in all aspects of inspecting and compiling written reports, which has enabled me to have confidence in my work as a CFIU Certified Hard Surface Inspector to be able to leave no doubt for anyone to see and know the proven cause of a flooring issue. The continuing and regular education available to us, CFIU Certified Inspectors, allows us to maintain a high level of professionalism in our trade. I am very grateful to Linda, Ricky, and Eric, as well as the Mentors who sit in on Training Sessions to help us learn and continue to be top-notch inspectors. |
